1 The 560-yard 1st Hole, a par 5, features an uphill tee shot to an ample landing area.  The second shot should favor the right side to set up the best approach to a small green.

2 On the 2nd Hole, a 380-yard par 4, the tee shot should favor the right side of the landing area to avoid the fairway bunker at 230 yards. The green rests on a natural plateau surrounded by mature oaks and maples.

4 The 4th Hole, a 395-yard par 4, demands a longer carry back across the wetland.  Bunkers on the right and bold fairway rolls to the left define an elevated landing area.  Bunkers on the left will grab your attention from the tee.  Favor the left side off the tee for the best approach to an elevated green that is angled left to right and guarded in front by a deep bunker.

7Tees for the 7th Hole, a 570-yard par 5, sit on a natural peninsula that extends into an expansive, scenic wetland prairie.  A three-shot, dogleg left is carved from mature hardwoods.  The carry across the wetland is shorter than it looks.  Avoid the water and the large fairway bunkers to the left and the most difficult part of the hole is behind you.  The right side offers the safest second shot but the ideal approach to the angled green is from the left near a cluster of deep fairway bunkers cut into the hillside.

8 The 190-yard 8th Hole, a slightly uphill par 3, is fashioned after the famous Redan-style par 3's.  A deep, menacing bunker set against a wide, shallow green that slopes from right to left makes for an exciting hole.

9 The scenic 9th Hole had so much to offer, Palmer Course Design Company could not decide on the best spot for the green.  After much conversation, two distinctive green sites were chosen.  The tee shot is a short carry across a deep ravine that extends all the way down the right side of the fairway and back in front of the lower green.  A tee shot that favors the right side of the fairway sets up the ideal approach for a short shot to the elevated left green or a long shot to the lower right green.  This unique par 4 stretches 395 or 440 yards.

10  The 10th Hole, a 415-yard straight-away par 4, features large oaks to the right and fairway bunkers to the left.  The green is set in a beautiful grove of oaks and maples.

11 The 460-yard 11th Hole, The Preserve's longest par 4, slopes from left to right.  Favor the left side of this wide fairway to avoid the wetland on the right.

12 The 12th Hole, a stunning, 180-yard par 3, crosses a deep ravine, and stretches along the edge of a flat bluff.  The undulating green is placed among stately oaks and maples.

13 The 13th Hole, a 435-yard par 4 dogleg right, can be played two or three clubs shorter if the fairway bunkers are carried on the inside of the dogleg.  A conservative tee shot to the left requires a longer shot to reach a large green guarded by a deep front bunker.

14 Tees for the 170-yard 14th Hole sit atop a hill overlooking two existing ponds.  Nature did the work here, right down to the large roll and depression fronting the green.  Another great par 3.  There is one more - the 17th Hole.

16 The 590-yard 16th Hole, a par 5 dogleg right, is The Preserve's most diverse hole.  A long tee shot to the left tempts the player to aim for the fairway short and right of the green.  Two solid shots could still reach the green.  From the left, the second primary landing area leaves a downhill third shot to a medium-size green fronted by a beautiful rock wall and wetland.  Golfers must play this hole several times to figure out the best way to master it.
